How to order The stockist form on our wholesale page, hello@teajoy.co.uk, or a foodservice wholesaler

The full can-against-kit table, from preparation to pack sizes, is on our wholesale page, so we have not rebuilt it here.

How to order, step by step

  1. Ask for samples. Samples are free for trade customers on request. Email hello@teajoy.co.uk with a rough idea of your volume and where you are based, and say whether you want to try the cans, a kit or both.
  2. Register as a stockist. The form is on our wholesale page. We confirm your trade prices once you are registered; the prices on our product pages are our listed prices.
  3. Choose your formats and sizes. Cans come in cases of 12 x 330ml, in Peach & Mango and Passionfruit & Strawberry. The Classic Milk Tea kit makes 10 drinks a box, or 40 as a case of four boxes. The three fruit tea kits make 20 drinks a box, or 80 as a case of four. If you are choosing a first kit, fruit tea or milk tea sets the two side by side.
  4. Place an order of £200 or more. Delivery is free. We dispatch the next day, and the order reaches you in 3 to 4 working days. Ordering for a seasonal special? A Halloween bubble tea special for your café works the order-by date back from Halloween, 31 October.

If you already buy through a foodservice wholesaler, you may not need to order direct at all. Bidfood, Delicious Ideas Food Group, Savona Foodservice, Hunt's Food Group and Epicurium all carry TeaJoy for trade customers, and they are listed on our where to buy page. Larger accounts can talk to us about partnership options.

What arrives in the box

A trade order is more than tea and boba. Every kit box carries its own cups, lids and straws, a window sticker and a strut card for the counter, and a training manual. The fruit kits add a measuring cup and a ladle, because their syrup and boba come in bulk. The Classic Milk Tea kit does not need them, because every drink is its own pair of sachets.

Product Pack size In the box
Bubble tea cans, Peach & Mango and Passionfruit & Strawberry 12 x 330ml Sealed cans with popping boba inside and a paper straw attached
Mango & Passionfruit, Passionfruit & Strawberry and Strawberry & Mango Bubble Tea Kits 20 drinks a box, or 80 as a case of four 1.2kg tea syrup, 1.1kg popping boba, 20 cups and lids, 20 straws, a measuring cup, a ladle, a window sticker, a strut card and a training manual.
Classic Milk Tea Bubble Tea Kit 10 drinks a box, or 40 as a case of four 10 x 18g classic tea powder sachets, 10 x 50g instant tapioca sachets, 10 cups and lids, 10 straws, a window sticker, a strut card and a training manual.

Every kit box is printed vegan and allergen free, and all our drinks are halal. The cans are ready to chill and sell. The kits are made up in the cup to order, and 20 seconds is the whole drink. The story behind the 20-drink kit, which starts in the kitchen of Ning's Brixton restaurant, is in our commercial kit guide.

Seven things to check with any bubble tea supplier

If you are comparing suppliers, these are the questions worth putting to each one. Here are our answers.

What to check TeaJoy's answer
Minimum order and delivery charges £200 minimum. Delivery free.
Cost per finished drink £1.75 to £2.50 a drink at the prices listed on our site, with the cup, lid and straw included. Trade pricing is confirmed on registration.
Whether toppings need cooking No. Popping boba goes into the cup as it is, and our instant tapioca pearls need no heating or cooking.
Shelf life after opening Fruit kit syrup and boba: use within 30 days of opening, with the boba in the fridge at 0 to 7°C. Milk kit sachets: single portions, used straight away. Unopened, every product keeps for 24 months from production.
Cups and wide straws In every kit box: 20 or 10 cups with lids, and jumbo straws to match. Cans come with a paper straw attached.
Recipe and training support A training manual, a strut card and a window sticker in every kit box. From us, step-by-step preparation instructions, marketing materials, staff training resources and ongoing customer service.
Sealing or shaking equipment None. No boiling, no specialist kit, no barista training. Cans need a chiller and nothing else.

Two of those deserve a line more. On cost, the £1.75 to £2.50 range runs from the 80-drink fruit kit at £140 to the 10-drink Classic Milk Tea kit at £25. The sum for each size, and what you add on top, is in how much it costs to add bubble tea to a café menu. For what is left per drink at three example menu prices, see how much you really make on a bubble tea. On shelf life, the 30 day rule applies only to the fruit kits' opened syrup bottle and boba tub, each of which holds 20 portions. The storage lines from every pack are in how long bubble tea keeps.

On training, the measures are fixed, so whoever is on shift makes the drink the same way. A fruit tea is 300ml of water, 50ml of syrup, one spoon of boba and ice. A milk tea is 300ml of milk or plant milk, one sachet of classic tea powder, one sachet of instant tapioca and ice. For a team spread over several sites, bubble tea staff training across QSR locations covers keeping it consistent.
